Risas... creo que me estoy quedando obsoleto, pues pensé que aún estarían en la versión 10 o 11... pero en la 24 Adobe me ha sorprendido.

Adobe stopped to produce new versions for Linux after v. 11... until now ! Good news !

--- and so, you are obsolete only since a short time !

(sorry, I can guess what you say, but I'm totally unable to speak your language ! If you understand better french, here is what I say)
Adobe avait arrêté de produire de nouvelles versions pour Linux après la version 11... jusqu'à maintenant ! Bonne nouvelle !

I wouldn't fall for such a trap. When they stopped developing, we managed to carry on quite well without it (plus it proved to be quite a security hole).

And suddenly they want to start it all over like nothing ever happened? No. Fuck them, I say.

    @Klaus Jónsson Zimmermann
Yes, you are right. But sometimes, free sorftware alternatives are not working very well. What is more especially bad is flash itself, rather than flash-plugin.
Too bad that MIT choosed flash for the Scratch language... IMO, Logo is a lot better, but less funny for children...

I'm with @Gargamello on this one:

    #proprietary-malware

I actually don't we need an alternative for it, not even a Free Software one: #HTML5 pretty much killed its most used niche of Video.

Maybe there are some reeeeally specific uses for it, but for all I've experienced I think we should simply put Flash and everything else #Adobe made in a coffin and bury it 30ft deep.

Yes, when you produce something, you absolutely don't need Flash or any proprietary product. But when you use something, if it's done with flash, you have only 2 choices : install flash (or an alternative, but it's not always working well) or just don't use it...
There is a lot of things that I don't use because I desagree the way it's done. But for some other things, even if I desagree the way it's done, I just install the necessary. Like a lot of people who desagree youtube, but put their videos there !

    Sorry, I don't see anything on #proprierary-malware...

You can easily find very decent and quite user-friendly alternatives for youtube, streaming movies and porn videos (as far as I remember that's what people need the proprietary malware for).

Even mpv can stream videos from YouTube and the like these days, or download using youtube-dl. No need at all for Flash anymore

Yes, no need of flash for videos ! I use already cclive to get videos from various websites, and from youtube, as you mention it, we can get videos in webm or mp4 formats (some more others I think, but I never tried).

I need flash for scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/about), this new (and very bad in my opinion !) language created by the MIT. My children use that at school and want to code also at home.

About the new version 24 of flash player, some bugs have been corrected, but it is very often scratches and close Firefox window :-( I think that I will go back to v. 11 !
