man synchronisiert die Daten... dafür lässt sich der Desktop Client ganz gut nutzen.

A shared folder will avoid that, even among multiple servers.

@Jonne Haß thanks, I need to look into that. So not sharing the link and adding it to "my nextcloud" or so, but sharing a folder. I think I saw that function before.

That's the same thing, just different ways to get there.

@Jonne Haß hmm really, so sharing the link and adding the shared stuff to the other persons nextcloud is not storing the same data twice on the server?

@Jonne Haß so just to make absolutely sure, when I share 100GB with another person on the same server by the link sharing (allow read and write access), then the data amount of storage needed on the server is just once 100GB?

@Jonne Haß one data to much in the sentence. Was supposed to mean "then the amount of storage".

Why wouldn't it be? That would be stupid, slow and brittle implementation to copy it and try to keep it in sync.

@Jonne Haß yes, but I saw some other stupid things already and it somehow felt that it could be like this.

OK, I think data is not stored twice, which would really be odd, but it somehow felt like it would be duplicated. But when I check the folder structure in the server I can only find the folder with the data once, in the folder of the user that created the folder and shared it.

@Admin Istrator ich nutze akuell #Syncthing, dass funktioniert ganz gut, aber hin und wieder braucht man eben eine Webinterface.
