    Spider-Woman.
    Good catch, @Indiefotog

@redj 18 I was forced to check the meaning of ‘bibite’. According to the Larousse:

    Au Québec, insecte, moustique.
Au Québec, tout animal : Une grosse bibitte.
Au Québec, être étrange, inconnu ; individu suspect.
    Au Québec, problème, difficulté.

    Excellent, @mc@iviv.hu

For whom may need it, there is a cute web page for explaining some expressions:

    @mc@iviv.hu MdR!!!
Yes, Québécois is a french speaking langage, but I can tell you that when I speak real Québécois, mostly every French don't understand ha of my words :-)
Many Quebecker prefer to speak English to be sure to be understood.
Personally, I try to ha a mid-range french, something near international... a french that translaters, on the web, can translate adequately...
    It's not always easy... :-))
Sometime, my mind will lead me to English: Just remember that Québec is the Gaule from Asterix... but in America... Canada is English, don't forget that to... beside some part of easterne's provinces and little here and there around the country, Canada IS English.
So, as many Quebeckers, I do my best to keep the best french I know and I try to show my spécifique color...
If you want to pick a sensible string, to a Quebecker, talk to him about langage :-)

My grand father had a few fishing lakes in the area of Mont-Tremblant (L'Ascension gate). Most of his clients were either Americans and Europeens. You know the word he used for "touristes"

    "Toukriss"

Oh! and an other thing, @mc@iviv.hu, if ever someone say, about you: "C't'une méchante bibite, c'gars là!" please take note of the tone it is said... it makes all the difference! (if it's a girl with a smile in her eyes, you're on the train [same if it's a boy...])

I have to agree with your grand father about tourists, @redj 18
Obélix would say that they are roman legionnaires pretending to be glou-glous.
Now, you must explain me the "you're on the train " thing. On the train to where?
    (I'm joking of course LOL)
P.S.: I'm completely comfortable with one country, several languages. I worked in Switzerland. ;-)
