Woher hast Du das mit dem geheimen Code bei #Jolla? AFAIK ist #SailfishOS als #Linux -Weiterentwicklung sehr wohl #OpenSource ... [siehe auch https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jolla#Sailfish_OS ]

Abgesehen davon bin ich von meinem Jolla begeistert und würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen :)

Wenn sichs preislich für dich ausgeht, dann wäre das Google Nexus 5 sicher eine gute Option. Da sollte verschiedenstes drauf laufen.

Jolla ist aber auch nicht weniger frei als ein Androide. Im gegensatz zu Google versprechen sie auch irgendwann alles frei zu geben

Es gibt bis auf das Neo900 derzeit kein Smartphone welches komplett open-source ist. Da braucht man sich nichts drauf einzubilden.

Das Flame ist ein spannendes Gerät, ob ich dir das zum Alltagsgebrauch empfehlen würde, weiß ist nicht.

Fairphone ist in meinen Augen ein tolles Projekt. Das Telefon habe ich selbst nicht.

Kauf dir doch ein gebrauchtes Nexus 4. Die gibt's ab 100 Euro, die Hardware ist immer noch konkurrenzfähig und es läuft von Android 5 über Cyanogenmod, Firefox OS und Ubuntu Phone so ziemlich alles darauf.

Please don't even think of it and go for #Jolla . There are many reasons for that. I will try to explain in individual posts. I have delayed myself from buying a jolla but the discount( 350 -> 250 E ) really brought me to buy it and its one of the best decisions of my life.

Firstly I come from a free software GNU/Linux world who seriously believes in Free software everywhere. The only closest phone which comes any where to affordability / availability is OpenMoko which should be purchased again on ebay . Next I had and was a user of #N900 which is an awesome device no doubt about it. I deserted it only when everything was Kaput . Sim contact , USB , battery and it was just impossible to use it. I will still wait for #Neo900 to create a chip which I would put on the N900 casing. But that project is more futuristic and I need to wait . Its no where going to be affordable for sure. I am talking of the board not even the phone. I have used a #firefoxos phone and its quite cool . Its definitely a recommended device for Html fans.

As I finally laid my hands on #sailfishos device which was the Jolla phone I was spell bounded by the way android apps work on it as if it was running natively. I was expecting a "wine like" performance but hell no the performance was as good as "docker" ! All those negativity you hear is quite silly in my opinion.

Most important again in terms of convenience is the UI which many say above is propreitary .. yes it is but have a feel of it , I have seen videos and it didn't impress me before. Now when I used it for 2 days I was more than happy for the smooth workflow the UI gestures give and it runs on top of QT apps.

Finally all I say is give me an alternate phone where I can have a proper root shell with GLIBC and where I have a package manager and can pkcon install packages. And I can also SSH into my phone , SSH out of the phone and find out whats happening in and out of my phone with complete control over it. Yes the UI is propreitary and so are lot of sailfishos components. But its based on #Mer which is fully open source and if you and other free software enthusiasts join the Jolla experience we could all attend the monthly #IRC meets http://merproject.org/meetings/mer-meeting/2014/ and convince them to open up more. And they as an actual community project listen to the community suggestions.

Hol dir das OnePlus One... gute Daten bei günstigem Preis. Würde aber OmniRom anstelle CM nehmen... CM ist zu kommerzialisiert.

Am OnePlus gefällt mir nicht das es so verdammt günstig ist, da wurde doch jemand bis aufs Blut ausgenützt. Und dann ist es von Risikokapital Anlegern finanziert, eine Praxis die ich klar ablehne da sie ein fundamentaler teil des in meinen Augen eher problematischen Kapitalismus ist. Das ist auch der Hauptgrund weshalb ich mich fürs fairphone entschieden habe: die setzten auf direkte und transparente Finanzierung wo kein bereits Ultrareicher Kapitalanleger noch mal Millionen an Gewinn raus holt.

...trotzdem Jolla ;) Auch wenn es noch nicht 100% open source und auch noch ziemlich beta ist. Nutze es seit Januar als einziges Telefon und bin sehr glücklich damit.

okay grade gelesen, dass es ab februar das erste ubuntu-phone in europa geben wird, daher hat sich die entscheidung für mich wohl erledigt, darauf hab ich schon lange gewartet
